Deb Green is currently a Psychology teacher and Senior School Counsellor at Pembroke school in Adelaide. Deb graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2005 with a Master of Psychology, leading her into the world of private practice, followed by a range of roles in community-based organisations. Deb started her career as a teacher after graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2010 with a Post Graduate Diploma of Education, teaching A level and IB Psychology for 5 years before securing the position of Head of Psychology in a highly regarded college based in the South of England. Deb has a passion for supporting young people and early career teachers to achieve their best and has enhanced her skills by engaging with marking and moderation, and becoming a team supervisor both in the UK and in her teaching career based in Adelaide. Over the last few years, Deb has been involved in developing and delivering professional development for teachers and other school counsellors and is currently the Vice President of ACAPS (Australian counsellors and psychologists in schools). In 2012 Deb won the ‘’You make a difference award” and has recently been nominated for the Nomination for the National Excellence in Teaching Award 2021.
